Mondays at the Booth: MyPlate

Today at The Green Phone Booth I have a post up about the USDA’s new replacement for the pyramid–a nice round plate with diagrams for how much protein, grain, fruit, and veggies we should be looking at on our plates for any given meal. With a nice little side circle for “dairy” (milk lobbyists much?). The good news is that “fats and sweets” are at least gone, and fruits and veggies finally have prominence, but there are a lot of other problems with it.

Come check it out, follow some of the links, and comment on your take on this–I’m really curious, will it change the way you eat at all? The way you plan meals? The way you shop? Let me know in the comments, here or there…
