Music is cheaper than pharmaceuticals and surgery

Okay, this is only peripherally connected to greenitude, but I thought this article from the Wall Street Journal was absolutely fascinating:

Music Helps Stroke Victims Communicate, Study Finds

How cool is that?

A google search for “music therapy results” gives abstract upon abstract (unfortunately to articles you have to sign up for services to access) about music’s ability to produce demonstrable results in patients with autism, MS, depression and stress disorders, migrainedementia…the list goes on and on.

Beats Big Pharma, doesn’t it? 🙂
