Court to FDA: Do your damn job!

I love when things like this pop up in my Google reader:

Court Rules Against FDA: Says Antibiotic Crisis Requires Actual Regulation

I personally have never understood the whole thing where “oh yeah, we’ve passed laws requiring that such and such be regulated, but we’ve denied any organization the authority to enforce the regulations.” ***headdesk***

I guess it remains to be seen what will come of this, but I’m glad someone is starting to pay attention to it.
