Mondays at the Booth: Spring Cleaning
I’m on spring break. Finally.
I don’t plan to spend it all working, but our house is kind of a pit, and the yard is ready for some work too. Spring cleaning indoors first, though.
Problem with cleaning is that most of what one can buy to clean with is toxic, smells awful, and is potentially unsafe for me or my kids. Which is sort of odd, because once you give it a try you realize that vinegar, citrus, baking soda, and a little soap, in various combinations depending on the job required, is all you really need…
(and when you’re done…check out some of these really good sites with recipes: Eco-Novice has a whole mess of great stuff, as do Apartment Therapy and GoGreen Street…they mostly boil down to vinegar, baking soda, and castile soap in various permutations, though!)
